Social Networking Sites

I am not able to understand, why the youngsters are more attracted towards the social networkinng sites like Facebook, Orkut or Twitter kind of sites. All we can do in these sites are you can search for your earlier/new friends. Talk to them over web through chatting etc. Make fun of them, share your photos with them and at the most stay in touch with them. After a period of time, you will feel, not much to do with these kind of sites, apart from wasting your time staying connected. There are hell and lot of links are available in these kind of sites for youngsters to browse through and merely they are waste of time, I would say.

But IT service companies are targeting to provide services to these kind of social networking sites and make revenue out of it as it is getting more traction by the youngsters. Therefore one of the major emerging IT trends in the IT sector would be providing services to the social networking sites and it has become a hit and we cannot rule that out.

Even I am trying to be in orkut, facebook and in twitter too. Beyond a certain point no one is having in touch with me. I feel people are so self oriented and no one has time for all these things beyond a point. Hence I come to a conclusion, that these social networking sites are targeted towards teens to the age group of 24-25 youngsters only. I see a risk for these youngsters also, to have bad contacts also through these kind of sites. Hence a close parental monitoring also should be associated with the kids who are into these networking sites. Otherwise, there is a big chance for the kids to fall into the wrong hands and spoil their own life too to a greater extent.

Opportunistic Politicians - Shameful behaviour

Somehow, we always have a hatred feeling on these politicians. That too, when the election approaches, there is a criss cross running race among these political parties. Particularly in Tamilnadu there is a specific party, which dangles between the two major dravidan parties, in every election. They never care about how the people can change their mindsets. Till today, they are with Party A and from tomorrow they will be in party D. It is amazing to know, how the people cope-up in understanding the politician jumps.

No one works on any people oriented agenda. All are hogging towards the number of seats and finally without shame they go back to same party wherein they were earlier. They put the blame on Srilankan Tamils Issue/Water problem something or the other, but they will never accept, that in the number game they were lost in the existing party they were in. Though the journalists also know all these number games, they also do not write the truth and they also reflect what the jumping parties say on.

I feel, only if there is a ban on parties, who jump between parties after this many number of times, the political field can be looked upon with a respect. Otherwise, its all number game, money sharing in the names of seat sharing game only. On one side, as Kalam said, the youngsters are dreaming the country to be a super power, but on the other side, politicians are pulling down the country towards their own sake and personal agenda. This can never end, atleast in my life time.
